The class includes demonstrations of how to build your tree hierarchy in either Family Tree Maker or RootsMagic and will conclude with a fun game of Gravestone Locations, where you will need to provide the correct administrative location for the missing part of the Gravestone

The majority of the class will cover the impacts of "prompt engineering", covering the formats you should follow to get good responses and how they can help you with your genealogical research. Students will sign up for free accounts at ChatGPT and Claude, using those tools to generate some queries and reports.
