Should You Join or Should You Renew?
We're so glad you chose to be a part of the Howard County Genealogical Society! Your membership means a lot! And we know that your experience here will be helpful and beneficial to you and to your genealogical endeavors!
Before you begin, though, we'd like to ask a question. Is this your first time joining our group, or have you been a part of HCGS before? If you have previously been a member at any time, or created a profile and you’re now ready to renew, we’re so happy, but please don’t hit the JOIN button and join again, even if your membership has expired, or you could likely end up with two logins and two passwords, and a very confusing situation for both of us. Then you will need to contact us to straighten everything out. I mean, we’re nice and all, but we’d rather spend our time hunting down wayward relatives! So, instead, it’s easy to RENEW your membership because your name and address and login and password are already stored in the HCGS system so you don’t have to type that information again! If you have forgotten your password (and who hasn’t!), there is a link on the login page to let you easily change it. It only takes a few minutes. THEN you can log in and renew our friendship.
